Thank you for choosing us as your breeder! We want to provide you with the information necessary for you to choose the best lifetime companion for you and your family. By submitting your deposit, and filling out our buyer questionnaire, you are agreeing to the terms in this health guarantee.

**Please be certain that you are ready for the time commitment and financial responsibility of a puppy prior to placing a deposit with us. Caring for a puppy can cost an owner anywhere from $1,500–$5,000 in the first year. Vet fees, vaccinations, checkups, dog food, and grooming appointments should all be expected. Any toys and daily care products you choose to buy can quickly add up as well. Puppies also require a lot of time!

Our 2-Year Health Guarantee  

We want to make the process of adopting your puppy as smooth as possible and are happy you have considered the responsibility that goes with your puppy. Stated below is our commitment and 2-Year Health Guarantee for your puppy, starting from your puppy’s date of birth. This agreement is for the benefit of both the buyer and seller and the puppy being purchased. 

1. Pleasant Acre Farms guarantees the puppy is in good health, has received a nose-to-tail health examination from a licensed Veterinarian, and has received all necessary, age appropriate vaccinations and de-worming. 
2. The puppy is sold as a family companion/pet and shall not be used for breeding. Breeding rights belong solely to Pleasant Acre Farms. Buyer agrees to sterilize (spay/neuter) the puppy by a licensed, reputable veterinarian at 6 plus months of age and before 16 months of age.
   1. Receipt of the procedure must be sent to Pleasant Acre Farms via email or text to confirm completion of the procedure.
   2. If the buyer fails to share documentation of the procedure being completed in this time frame, this Health Guarantee will become null and void.
3. Buyer is responsible for having a puppy health checkup scheduled with your licensed veterinarian within 7 days of receiving your puppy. We cannot control the environment of the puppy after it leaves our premises, therefore this agreement is null and void if you fail to secure a vet visit for your new companion within 7 days of bringing your puppy home. You may notify us of the date you have scheduled for your vet visit, if scheduling prevents you from meeting the 7 days requirement.  
   1. Seller must be notified in writing, text or email of date set for vet checkup.
   2. Proof of visit must be sent via text or email to seller after completion of the checkup.
4. Two years. This puppy is warranted up to the purchase price against any debilitating congenital Disease or genetic defects as determined by arbitration of a neutral third party, if necessary, extending to two years from the date of birth. 
   1. This two-year warranty does not include viral illnesses, infections, improper bites, hernias, hypoglycemia, giardia, or coccidiosis. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, or physical injury.
   2. If it is determined the puppy does have a genetic disorder that is identified within 2 years of birth, the buyer has the option of a replacement puppy from the next available litter or a full refund of the puppy’s purchase price. Your puppy needs to be returned to us provided there is proper documentation of the medical condition. Shipping fees are paid by the buyer. 
5. One week – The puppy is guaranteed for one week from the delivery date against any viral The delivery date as defined in this document is the date in which the purchaser (or representative of the purchaser) takes physical possession of the puppy.
6. No warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated. 
   1. This warranty is non-transferable.
7. The seller is not responsible for any veterinarian bills incurred. The seller assumes no responsibility for this animal after the delivery date for any medical expense, human allergies, training difficulties or behavior problems. Once the puppy is delivered, the buyer assumes all responsibility for the puppy. 
8. Buyer agrees that if for any reason during the puppy/dog’s life, they are unable to keep or provide for their puppy/dog, they will contact the Breeder to take the puppy/dog back or seek our assistance to help in rehoming the puppy/dog. 
   1. Buyer agrees to never pace a puppy in a shelter, pound, or research facility.
   2. We will always take a puppy/dog back, but any potential refund is at the sole discretion of the seller.
9. Buyer releases Schrock’s Pleasant Acre Farms, LLC from any and all liabilities, and/or damages by fault of this dog after the time of sale. These damages include, but are not limited to, destruction of property and/or physical damage to any person or group of people. 
   1. All terms contained in this Agreement shall be governed and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, and all suits arising out of this Agreement shall be brought in a court of appropriate jurisdiction in Holmes County, Ohio. 

Note on parasites: Puppies’ immune systems are still developing, causing them to be vulnerable for internal parasites, especially under stress. Moving to a new home, change of diet, and excessive handling are all stress factors that can compromise a puppy’s immune system response against worms, giardia, or coccidiosis. Every preventative effort has been made by the Breeder to mitigate these vulnerabilities. However, you should be aware of them possibly occurring. These conditions are all treatable and are not reasons to warrant a return or exchange.

Pleasant Acre Farms cannot guarantee the puppy’s size, color, or temperament after the puppy leaves the premises. 

The cornerstone of our health guarantee is the extensive genetic testing we conduct on our breeding dogs. Our puppies are backed by a lineage of healthy, genetically-tested parents and grandparents, ensuring a legacy of good health. Each parent has passed tests, affirming their freedom from genetic abnormalities and diseases common to their breed.
