Pleasant Acre Farms Health Guarantee Overview

Initial Health Assurance

• Each puppy undergoes a thorough nose-to-tail examination by a licensed veterinarian before adoption.

• Puppies are up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming at the time of pickup or delivery.

• Buyers receive complete veterinary records, including health check documentation.

Mandatory Post-Adoption Vet Visit

• Buyers must schedule a health check with a licensed veterinarian within 7 business days of receiving the puppy.

• Proof of this visit (e.g., a scan or photo of the vet record) must be sent to Pleasant Acre Farms to validate the health guarantee.

Genetic Health Guarantee

• A 2-year genetic health guarantee is provided, covering any debilitating congenital diseases or genetic defects identified within two years from the puppy’s birth.

• If a genetic issue is confirmed:

  • Buyers may return the puppy for a full refund or a replacement from the next available litter.

  • Alternatively, buyers can keep the puppy and receive a refund of up to 50% of the purchase price.

• This guarantee excludes conditions such as viral illnesses, infections, improper bites, hernias, hypoglycemia, giardia, or coccidiosis.

Spay/Neuter Agreement

• Puppies are sold as family companions and are not to be used for breeding.

• Buyers agree to have their puppy spayed or neutered between 6 and 16 months of age.

• Proof of the procedure must be provided to Pleasant Acre Farms; failure to do so voids the health guarantee.

Additional Terms

• The health guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original buyer.

• Pleasant Acre Farms is not responsible for veterinary expenses incurred after the puppy is delivered.

• If a buyer can no longer care for their puppy, they agree to contact Pleasant Acre Farms for assistance in rehoming, ensuring the puppy is not placed in a shelter or research facility.
